Express Modify Guidelines:
Change a Description/Add a Category

1. All suggestions must be in English and all additional category placement requests must be for categories currently contained in the US version of the LookSmart directory. In addition, all requests must abide by all submission standards as outlined in LookSmart's Submit a Site Guidelines.
2. Site descriptions are editorial in nature and cannot include any promotional text (e.g., "quality," "best," "premier," "free" or "cheapest.").
3. Site descriptions will not include the prices of events, property, products, services, or merchandise of any kind.
4. Site description titles are non-negotiable and will be determined solely by the LookSmart editorial staff.
5. Site descriptions may not be comprised of all capital letters or contain any exclamation points, text, lineation, or spacing deemed contrary to LookSmart house style. LookSmart retains the right to edit and categorize all listings contained in the Directory. All site descriptions will be written in complete sentences.
6. Category suggestions must be as relevant to site content as possible. For further information, closely examine our guidelines for Selecting LookSmart Categories.
7. Users may not suggest two separate site descriptions for the same URL.
8. Users may not change or alter URLs. Without exception, any change to a URL requires resubmission of the site through the LookSmart Submit a Site service.
9. You may not suggest additional changes to your site description beyond those contained in your initial Express Modify order. Additional requests will not be honored.
10. Express Modify services are one-time services. Once the service has been rendered, any further requests for description changes or additional category placement require that the customer use the Change a Description or Add a Category service and pay the required fee for renewed consideration.
11. LookSmart reserves the right to reject suggestions not meeting LookSmart Submission Guidelines, Express Modify Guidelines, or LookSmart house style. Rejected suggestions will not be refunded.

Please note: Our editors routinely check all Web sites in our directory to ensure that they continue to adhere to our guidelines. Any Web site that violates our standards will be removed from the directory.
