complete redesign/rewrite of administrative area and functionality. Redesign of public side product pages, incorporating layout updates for thumbnail pages, a Quick View feature, and product detail pages. We also applied interface and functional updates to the advanced frames configurator functionality on the public side.
We have been on the internet since 1997. The firm that originally developed our site did a wonderful job. We did not have them do the upgrade because they had essentially gone in a different direction and did not have the technical expertise to do what we wanted done.
We interviewed many firms and decided to go with a two person operation who had great references and a lot of experience in the type of thing we wanted to do. This proved to be problematic. The programmer became overwhelmed with other work and essentially became unavailable. The designer decided to make a career change and we were left with an unfinished project.
Since the design work had been essentially done, we started over looking for a firm that was very strong in programming. After interviewing and getting references on many firms, we decided on Granite Web Design and I have to say the stars were aligned when we made that decision. We have been working with them since the Summer of 2010.
They have been a delight in every way. I have worked with John C. We had regular weekly phone meetings and discussed the project in detail. If we made changes to the original project, he documented them and gave me a price. Therefore, there were no surprises. They were on time, on budget, and very good with details and followup. In addition, he is a genuinely nice person.
One of things, I appreciate most about the firm is that they are on the cutting edge of the latest technology. Since we started working with them, we have set up a facebook, twitter, linkedin, and you tube account. They provided the support we needed to make them all work seamlessly.
