Interland generally uses Linux as the primary OS for it's Unix servers. Linux is a free, Unix variant that is practically built for the Internet.
Each new server is packed with the latest technologies, programming libraries, and features. Interland's Unix servers are customized for increased performance under load.
When it comes to hardware, our systems are top of the line. We have Compaq servers with Intel's fastest CPU's, packed with memory, and hardware RAID 5 for increased redundancy, on top of nightly backups. We currently limit servers to 250 users, so an individual server isn't overloaded, and slowed down by a flood of requests.
Interland uses the most recent version of the Apache Web server. Currently, this is Apache 1.3.3 for non-secure, and 1.3.4 secure.
Our servers are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and individuals are always on call should there be an emergency situation, to get the server back up as soon as possible. - Updated: March 13, 2001
