Simply put, an email program, also referred to as an email client, is the program with which you will check your email. This program will actually go out on the Internet, connect to our mail server, download any new messages, and send any messages you have waiting. There are a wide variety of email clients out there for people to use. Some common clients are Eudora, Outlook/Outlook Express, and even Netscape comes with a built in Email client (usually referred to as Netscape Messenger). - Updated: March 18, 2002
