When Outlook has trouble sending or receiving email, it report an error code. Here is a list of common error codes you will receive, along with possible solutions.

0x800CCC0D - CANT_FIND_HOST 0x800CCC0E - FAILED_TO_CONNECT | Outlook cannot find or connect to the specified mail server. |
| 0x800CCC0F - CONNECTION_DROPPED | For some reason Outlook was disconnected from the server. This could be caused by a disconnected from the Internet, a large message waiting in your email account, or a large message being sent. First double-check to make sure you are still connected to the Internet. If you are, you can view and delete large message waiting in your email account from the SquirrelMail interface. |
| 0x800CCC62 - SMTP_500_SYNTAX_ERROR | This usually means the message you are sending has bad information, such as an improperly formatted email address, or possibly no email address. Double-check the message you are trying to send for "syntax correctness." |
0x800CCC91 - POP3_INVALID_USER_NAME 0x800CCC92 - POP3_INVALID_PASSWORD | These errors indicate an invalid username or password was entered. First double-check your mail server settings. Then try retyping your username/password. Be sure that both the username and password are ALL lowercase with NO spaces. Your username is the first part of your email address, such as johndoe@yourdomain.net. The username is johndoe. |
