OUTLOOK 2000 SETTINGS
Note: Registered Client Access Only
This page was designed to help our clients setup or change their basic Outlook 2000 setting. It is a simple 11 step process:
Step #1:
Open Oulook 2000, click the Tools menu, then select Accounts...

Step #2:
In this window, you will see your currently installed accounts (if any).
Click the
Add button, then choose Mail.

Step #3:
In the Display Name box, type your full name, then click the Next button.

Step #4:
In the E-mail address box, type your email address, then click the Next button.

Step #5:
In the My incoming mail server is a box, select POP3 from the dropdown list.
In the Incoming mail (POP3) server box, type pop3.yourdomain.net
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box, type smtp.yourdomain.net
Click the Next button.

Step #6:
In the Account name box, type your username.
In the Password box, type your password.
If you want Outlook 2000 to remember your password so you won't have to type it each time you check for email, put a check next to Remember password.
Click the Next button.

Step #7:
If you are a Dialup customer, put a dot next to Connect using my phone line.
If you are a DSL, put a dot next to Connect using my local area network (LAN).
Click the Next button.

Step #8:
If you chose Connect using my phone line on the previous window, you will now be prompted to choose your connection. Put a dot next to Use an existing dial-up connection.
Select your dialup connection from the list.
Click the Next button.

Step #9:
At the final screen, click the Finish button.

Step #10:
You should now see the new account in the list. Click the Close button.

Step #11:
Finally, double click your new account to view the Properties
Click the Servers tab on the top of window
Go down to the bottom to Outgoing Mail Server and check off My server requires authentication

That's all folks ...now you can send & receive mail on your new account
