Before configuring your email program, you must remember that you need to create a IMAP account via your cPanel Console.
In the example below, the clients name is 'John Smith', the name of their domain/website is 'www.mydomain.com' and their email address is 'johnsmith@mydomain.com'. Replace the 'John Smith' below with your own name, 'mydomain.com' with the name of your own website, and 'johnsmith@mydomain.com' with your own email address.
Please MAKE SURE to use the settings specified by your Granite Web Support staff member. The steps below are for general reference and guidance through the overall process. You should still reference the specific settings you were provided.
Step 1: Select 'Settings' from the home screen of your iPhone.
Step 2: Select 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars'.
Step 3: Under 'Accounts' select 'Add Account'.
Step 4: On the 'Add Account' page select 'Other'.
Step 5: Select 'Add Mail Account'.
Step 6: On the 'New Account' screen fill in the blank spaces with your details then hit save.
Your Name: The name you wish displayed when people recieve your emails
Address: The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@mydomain.com
Password: The password you created when you setup your email account.
Description : The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@mydomain.com
Step 7: The iPhone may attempt to automatically retrieve the server settings, if it attempts this, it will fail. You must configure the settings manually. The first step in configuring this is to select 'IMAP' as the mail account type. Once you choose 'IMAP', fill in the corresponding blank spaces.
Your Name: The name you wish displayed when people receive your emails
Address: The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@mydomain.com

Incoming mail server
Host Name: mail.mydomain.com
Username: The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@mydomain.com
Password: The password you created when you setup your email account.
Outgoing mail server
Host Name: mail.mydomain.com
Username: The E-mail address you are sending email from, johnsmith@mydomain.com
Password: The password you created when you setup your email account
Step 8: Select 'Save' once finished. You may then get a popup asking if you want to set the acount up without SSL. Select 'Yes'.
Step 9: The Advanced mail settings will be displayed. If not, click on Advanced. From there you can choose if you want to use SSL secured connection with your email account
Steo 10: On the Advanced screen, Double Check that SSL is set to 'On', Authentication is set to 'Password' and your Server Port is 993.
Step 11: Scroll down and select your Outgoing Mail Server.
Step 12: Double Check that SSL is set to 'On', Authentication is set to 'Password' and your Server Port is 465.
Step 13: You're now done. Try sending yourself an email and see if you can receive it.
