How to add a coupon to an order via the admin area in CS-Cart. Print

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a coupon to an order in CS-Cart via the admin area for existing orders (This is only possible for new orders placed via the admin area.). This must be done by either placing a new order via the admin area or as the customer via the storefront and entering the coupon code while placing the order there. We recommend placing the order via the storefront for such cases. The steps are detailed below:

  1. First, Login to the CS-Cart admin area and go to Customers --> Customers.
  2. Search for the customer using their email address or name.
  3. If a match is found and the customer already exists, perform the following additional steps: (a) Click on the "more" button for that customer record, then select "Act on behalf of" link. A new window will open, displaying the storefront. (c) You are now logged into the storefront as the customer and can place the order using their account.
  4. If NO match is found and the customer does not exist, simply go to the storefront and place the order as a new customer there.
