How to manage Google Checkout orders in CS-Cart. Print

  • 1

CS-Cart has some built-in advanced order management tools for interacting with the Google Checkout seller portal (https://checkout.google.com/sell/orders)
When a customer places a Google Checkout order in CS-Cart, an additional "Google information" tab will be displayed on the "Viewing order" screen for that order.

In the "Google information" tab, you can perform the following operations listed below:

Charge (available only in case where Google Seller portal --> Settings --> Preferences --> Order Processing are NOT set to When I receive a new order...  "Automatically authorize and charge the buyer's credit card")
- Instructs Google Checkout to charge the buyer for the order. After the order reaches the CHARGEABLE order state, you have seven days – 168 hours – to capture funds by clicking the "Charge" button. You can also change the charge amount, but it should not exceed the total order cost.

Refund (available only after the order was charged; Charge Status = Charged)
- Instructs Google Checkout to refund the buyer for the order. You may issue a "Refund" request after an order has been charged and is in the CHARGED financial order state. The amount of the refund can be changed in the refund section. To issue a Refund request to Google Checkout, enter the Amount, Reason and (optionally) comments and then click the "Refund" button.

Cancel
- Instructs Google Checkout to cancel the order. If the customer has already been charged, you must first refund the customer's money BEFORE you can cancel the order. Then, to issue a Cancel request to Google Checkout, click the "Cancel" button.

Send message
- Instructs Google Checkout to place a message in the buyer's Google Checkout account. To issue a Send Message request to Google Checkout, enter the Message and then click the "Send Message" button.

Add tracking data
- Instructs Google Checkout to associate a shipper's tracking number with an order. The Google Checkout Program Policies and Guidelines state that you must provide shipment tracking information for your orders as that information becomes available. This command does not impact the order's fulfillment state. Please ensure that you have added the shipment in CS-Cart (inclding the carrier and tracking number) and updated the order BEFORE you Add tracking data. Then, to issue an Add tracking data request, click the "Add tracking data" button.

Deliver
- Instructs Google Checkout to ship the order. This action can only be performed AFTER the order has been charged and has been shipped. It should be done After you Add tracking data. To ship the order, click the "Deliver" button.

Archive order
- Instructs Google Checkout to remove the order from your Merchant Center Inbox to the archive. We recommend that you only archive orders after they have been delivered or canceled. To archive the order, click the "Archive order" button.
