Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a promotion to an order in CS-Cart via the admin area for existing orders (This is only possible for new orders placed via the admin area.). This must be done by either placing a new order via the admin area or as the customer via the storefront. We recommend placing the order via the storefront for such cases. The steps are detailed below:
- First, Login to the CS-Cart admin area and go to Customers --> Customers.
- Search for the customer using their email address or name.
- If a match is found and the customer already exists, perform the following additional steps: (a) Click on the "more" button for that customer record, then select "Act on behalf of" link. A new window will open, displaying the storefront. (c) You are now logged into the storefront as the customer and can place the order using their account.
- If NO match is found and the customer does not exist, simply go to the storefront and place the order as a new customer there.
