How to Add/Create a shipment for an order in CS-Cart Print

In CS-Cart, shipments are used for situations when you ship items from an order. This is used to track the shipping status of these items and assign tracking numbers where applicable. This functionality is very useful when you have to deal with back orders regularly and are partially shipping the order.

For example, if a customer orders several items that are out-of-stock, you can ship in-stock items immediately after the order has been placed, and then send the rest of the order in a separate shipment once in-stock.

To create a shipment:

  1. Login to the CS-Cart admin area.
  2. Browse or search for the order that you want to add/create a shipment for, then click "View".
  3. In the section Shipping information of the View Order page, click on the New shipment link. This will open a pop-up window.
  4. For each product in the order, select the number of items that will be delivered in the current shipment.
  5. Choose a shipping method.
  6. Optionally, input a tracking number, choose a carrier, and add your comments.
  7. If necessary, change the order status.
  8. Select whether or not you want a shipping notification to be sent to the customer.
  9. Click the Create button.
